My Rules, My Home.

If you've found my site, then welcome. You may be wondering what on earth it's all about?!?! Well, recently I have started an Instagram account (with the same nametag as the site), to seek ideas and inspiration for my 1930s home.

My family moved into this gorgeous red brick house in September 2015. We knew that this house needed renovating, as nearly every room required rewiring, plastering, damp proofing and modernising. No easy task and still, 3 years down the line, we're still plodding on with it. It's our forever home and with love and care, it will be stunning.

I've come across so many dream homes and interiors, I felt that I could never afford the furniture or the lifestyle represented in them. But I can and so can you, with time and clever shopping, you too can have a home insta-worthy.

Hence, where the 'My Rules' take on decorating, lifestyle and everything else in between comes from. It's ok, to follow trends, it's ok to have a home in progress, it's ok to have a home which isn't like a show-home and it's ok not to have a lifestyle - picture perfect. My home is nowhere near a show-home, especially with having two teenage daughters, two cats and one dog to clear up after; but it's 'My Home'.
